With more than 25 years of serving Forsyth County, Jim O’Neill has been a stalwart in his drive and determination to keep our community safe.

My Mission

My mission as Forsyth County’s District Attorney is to continue to make Winston-Salem one of the safest cities in North Carolina, and the country, by prosecuting dangerous criminals to get them off our streets.

We Stand For

Creating a safe environment for our citizens to live, work and play in our Winston-Salem community. My years in office as Forsyth County’s District Attorney have helped me earn a reputation as a prosecutor who is tough on violent crime while at the same time being merciful and understanding of those with addiction problems, as evidenced by my DATA program.
